Electrolux Ceramic Cooktop Are A Smart Choice
Cooking has evolved from being exclusively fire based to the stove tops of today. Many of us have grown up with either gas powered or electric stove tops and each is different and has its own merits.
Streamlining the time in which we cook has led to even more innovation, as well as the desire for a more streamlined look. Ceramic stovetops are the new standard for many people’s kitchens. Made from a glass and ceramic mix, these stovetops are strong and have the ability to take many temperature changes over a short period of time.
How the work to heat your pots and pans, however, is different from what you may expect. There are two ways these can heat. One is through coils, much like the electric coils you are used to, underneath the ceramic.
With the ceramic top the heat from these coils is more concentrated underneath your pots and pans because ceramic itself has a low heat conduction. The other way that these stovetops can work is through electromagnetic induction, which works with the metal of your pots and pans to induce heat.
A great advantage to the flat design of these stovetops is that they are immensely easy to clean, just requiring a wet cloth. With quick action, any spilled food can be cleaned. With their flat design, however, the pots and pans you use must have a flat bottom to achieve the right heating.
A top brand in this field is Electrolux, with it’s heavy advertising touting the wonders of this technology. It is sold through many stores like Home Depot and the furniture and home chain RCWilleys. Electrolux ceramic cooktop use induction technology which speeds up many processes, like only needing 90 seconds to boil water. Induction is when the stovetop senses the metal in your pots and pans and heats accordingly.
Induction reacts to metal, but also only makes an area of heat that is equal to the area of the pan or pot that you are using. This means that this technology is also very efficient, using up to 70% less energy than gas and 20% less than electrical stovetops.
With the ability to withstand temperature changes, many of these stovetops come with preset temperatures to take away the time spent preheating. Any way you look at it, electrolux ceramic cooktops are an efficient choice for any kitchen.
