Electric Fillet Knives

If you want to clean a fish for eating and don't have have the right equipment, it can often be very frustrating. Not having the right knife for the job can make cleaning a fish and filleting is a massive waste of time. There are fish fillet knives designed to do just this, and there are many different kinds and sizes to make filleting easier to do.

There are a few firms which manufacture fillet knives and each offers two or three separate types. The fillet knife has a long, slim blade which culminates in a very fine point. There is a rubber handle which permits a strong grip. Knives with a 5" blade are perfect for filleting small fish, but the typical knife is 7" in length.

Certain companies have 9" blades for sale. There are now even electric fillet knives that give you more efficiency and power. With electric fillet knives, you get blades that you can switch out, so that it's more convenient.

With the sharp blade, you can cut the fish easily until you hit bone. Fillet knives have a sharp end and a thin, long blade for a reason. You also clean fish with this knife variety, as well as fillet them. You'll experience convenient cleaning of the fish with the sharp point on the knife's end, so that you can slice all the way up the fish.

An electric fillet knife vibrates as it is slicing through the body of the fish. Some even have indicators to show that the filleting is finished.

It's important to thoroughly clean all fish fillet knives and electric knife blades after use, so that they are dry when put into storage. And the blades must be kept sharp to ensure fillets are made with consistent size and thickness. Fillet knives and electric knife blades must be stored in a dry place to prevent rust.
