Do Not Buy An Espresso Coffee Maker Before You Read The Following

There are some enticing reasons to chew on adding an espresso coffee machine to your list of home appliances. If you are someone like me you’ll bank loads of cash by being able to yield your own mug of espresso in your own home rather then forking out bucks at high-priced coffee shops and restaurants. And besides you will have the ability to make up cappuccinos in addition to lattes as well - precisely the way you like them.

You want to take one or two matters into consideration though before you go out and complete a purchase. If you wish to have absolutely the finest tasting espresso that you could from your household maker, then you must be aware that there is a little more to it than merely pressing boiling water through your coffee. If you don’t do it right, then you may as well use the old battered coffee pot. In order to get that perfect cup that has no bitter taste to it, you need to extract the flavor from the beans but leave the oils behind. You can easily get this right if you have a high quality espresso machine.

The frothing wand is probably one of the best things that come attached to an espresso machine. With this unit you have the ability to foam up your milk like the pros do for those delicious cappuccino drinks.. Some espresso machines also have the ability to grind its own fresh coffee, so getting the correct grind for your espresso becomes a breeze.

For those folks that need and want it all, there is what is known as the all in one espresso machine. These let you choose between brewing straight coffee or espresso. The majority of these models are programmable so you can set them to start making the coffee at any given time of the day or night. For the individuals who really don’t like to take the time or wait for their coffee to brew in the morning and love to have it ready when they wake up, this is the perfect and ideal option. It does everything for you, all you have to do is program it and let it go. You only have to do one or two small things and that is to pour and enjoy.

There are other alternatives out there as well for those who are not into the full automation aspect of espresso. While Percolators seem to have been around forever, there are some excellent alternatives to these love coffee pots that make more than a half decent Espresso coffee. An example of a more popular brand is the Moka pot which has both a standard stovetop version and a plug in variety. This set up is a system of two separate chambers with a filter placed in between them. One chamber is for ground and the other is for water.

The water is stored in the bottom and when it is heated it forces steam up through the coffee and into the top chamber where the espresso is formed. While Moka pots work reasonably well of course they won’t make as fine a cup of coffee as a dedicated espresso machine.

Another alternative to using a Percolator for making Espresso is the French press. Using this devise is as easy as heating water and pouring it just off the boil into a pot of ground coffee beans. When you have poured the water over the coffee, all you need to do is let is set for a couple of minutes and then pull down a lever which will separate the coffee from the grounds. While the french press method might be easy and fast to use as well as easy to clean up, it does not in my opinion make a cup of espresso that is of great quality. The reason for this lies in the fact that the water has to remain in contact with the grounds for too long and therefore makes the drink bitter.

As you can see there is a bit to know about espresso coffee before you go out and buy a new coffee pot or brewing machine. Oh and one last thing I should warn you about, once you own a coffee machine you could very well become addicted like me and refuse anything other than the real thing.

Have fun and enjoy!
